The following is excerpted from Frank O'Hara's poem "Adieu to Norman, Bon Jour to Joan and Jean-Paul." I took a class on him and other 20th c. poets this semester, and while O'Hara is an incredibly frustrating poet to study, these lines spoke to me... probably even more so now.
